Twelve years of putting charge points in the ground

Power2EV is the commercial arm of Earth Electrical Southern, an established electrical contractor. It was set up as a separate business because customers were asking for design and consultancy on charging and renewable installations rather than general electrical work, and that is a different job requiring different expertise.

The electrical grounding still matters. Most of what decides whether a charging project works is the supply, the load and the cable route, and those are electrical questions before they are charging ones.

We survey before we quote. That sounds obvious and a surprising number of installers do not do it, which is how sites end up with a price that changes once someone actually looks at the supply.

The survey establishes the spare capacity, the cable route and where the bays make sense. From that comes a drawing, a specification and a fixed price. If a grant applies we tell you which one and handle the application.

OZEV approval is a practical requirement rather than a badge, because the grant schemes will not accept work from an installer without it. NAPIT registration and Registered Competent Person status cover the electrical side and the building regulations notification.

We are also Rolec's regional approved installer for the South of England, which means the equipment, the warranty and the aftercare sit with one company rather than three. For solar and battery storage we are a GivEnergy certified installer.

We are not a national rollout contractor and we do not pretend to be. We work across six counties in the South East because that is the distance over which we can genuinely respond when something needs attention.

We also do not publish prices. Commercial installations are scoped from a survey, and a headline figure would either be wrong or would attract the sort of enquiry that wastes everyone's time.
