Specification

  • Charges at up to 7.4kW
  • Choose a socket for your own cable, or a fixed tethered lead
  • Start a charge by app, RFID card or fob, or just plug in
  • Load balancing keeps the property supply within its limit
  • Compact case, so it suits a narrow garage wall or a covered parking bay
  • Earth fault detection built in

Charge speed

How fast the WallPod is

Where this unit sits against the rest of the range, by top output. Speed classes rather than a linear axis, because a wall unit and a rapid DC cabinet do not belong on the same straight line.

Bars are scaled by charging class rather than linearly, so the wall units stay readable next to rapid DC. Figures are each unit’s top output.

Indicative. A vehicle whose on-board charger is limited to 7.4kW gains nothing from a 22kW unit.

Installation

What fitting one actually involves

  1. 01

    What installing a WallPod involves

It is the most straightforward installation we do. A dedicated circuit, the unit on the wall, and a cable route agreed with you first. Most are half a day unless the consumer unit needs work.

  2. 02

    Where the compact case helps

In a narrow garage, a covered parking bay or a tight side return, the smaller case is the difference between a tidy installation and one that is in the way. It is also the unit we would specify where the charger is highly visible and the owner would rather it were not.

  3. 03

    Socket or tethered lead

A socket takes your own cable and keeps the unit tidy when not in use. A tethered lead is more convenient day to day but always hanging there. On a shared or exposed parking area a socket is usually the better choice.

WallPod in short

  • Charges at up to 7.4kW
  • Choose a socket for your own cable, or a fixed tethered lead
  • Start a charge by app, RFID card or fob, or just plug in
  • Load balancing keeps the property supply within its limit

UltraCharge in short

  • Sold from 40kW up to 400kW, so the unit can be matched to the turnaround you actually need
  • The larger units are modular, so power can be added later in steps rather than replacing the cabinet
  • Two outputs that share the available power between vehicles automatically
  • Works across a 150V to 1000V range, so it suits older and newer vehicles
