Chargers
Heavy duty wall unit
Rolec SecuriCharge
A tougher wall mounted unit for workplaces and sites where a charger is likely to get knocked about.
What it is for
Where the SecuriCharge fits
Workplaces, long stay car parks and exposed sites where a unit may be damaged or tampered with.

- Category
- Heavy duty wall unit
- Output
- 7.4kW or 22kW
- Sockets
- One or two universal sockets
- Suits
- Commercial sites
Specification
- Heavy steel case that resists vandalism and forced entry
- Alerts you if the unit is tampered with or opened
- Charges at up to 22kW, or 7.4kW single phase
- One or two sockets depending on the model
- Wall mounted, so no groundwork where a wall is already in the right place
- Built-in meter approved for billing
Charge speed
How fast the SecuriCharge is
Where this unit sits against the rest of the range, by top output. Speed classes rather than a linear axis, because a wall unit and a rapid DC cabinet do not belong on the same straight line.
Bars are scaled by charging class rather than linearly, so the wall units stay readable next to rapid DC. Figures are each unit’s top output.
On the SecuriCharge
20 to 80 per cent, which is the window a fleet actually turns around in.
at 22kW
1h 47m
Indicative. A vehicle whose on-board charger is limited to 7.4kW gains nothing from a 22kW unit.

Installation
What fitting one actually involves
01
What installing a wall unit involves
A wall unit avoids the groundwork entirely where there is a wall in the right place, which makes it substantially cheaper per bay than a pedestal. The constraint is that the wall has to be where the cars are, and on a lot of car parks it is not.
02
Where the heavy duty case earns its money
The SecuriCharge is specified for sites where a standard unit would not survive. Yards where vehicles manoeuvre close to walls, long stay car parks with no supervision, and exposed sites all justify the heavier case and the tamper alerting.
On a sheltered office car park it is usually more unit than the site needs, and we will say so.
03
Cable management
On a workplace wall unit the thing people actually complain about is the cable, not the charger. Where the unit sits relative to the parking bay decides whether leads end up across a walkway, so we work that out before fixing anything.

SecuriCharge in short
- Heavy steel case that resists vandalism and forced entry
- Alerts you if the unit is tampered with or opened
- Charges at up to 22kW, or 7.4kW single phase
- One or two sockets depending on the model
UltraCharge in short
- Sold from 40kW up to 400kW, so the unit can be matched to the turnaround you actually need
- The larger units are modular, so power can be added later in steps rather than replacing the cabinet
- Two outputs that share the available power between vehicles automatically
- Works across a 150V to 1000V range, so it suits older and newer vehicles
